Is it posible to shorten the Render time with talking animation in DAZ 4 Studio?

I made one test animation with lipsync in DAZ Studio!
The time for render and kompres to the AVI file took about 2 hours and 40 minutes!
The avi movie was just 22 seconds!

I installed a soundfile with my own recording just saying some words!
The animation is of 571 images cause the Genises figure move the head a little
and flash the eys and animated the mouth, so I do understand it is 571 images in total
for 22 seconds of recordings!

Is it away to short this time of render or is it the only way it works in DAZ Studio!

My pc is like this!

Intel 4Quad CPU with 2.66Ghz
6gb RAM
Nvidia GTX285 videocard
ASUS Rampage II Extreme Motherboard!
2x300Gb HD Velocy Raptor 10000/Rpm

Thanks

I did not build up a scene or used any lights at all!
The only thing was a close up on the face of the Geneses figure!
The figured had skin and hair!

I am not sure if I get you right there!

ok - hair add to time
render frame size add to time
    and so on
so lot of things add to render time

try hair without transmaps, (that is an image in the opacity channel under surfaces)
render using openGL, you must not obscure the view port
(I make the viewport and whole program window very small and make sure opening windows will not obscure it before I start rendering so I can do other tasks)
also render to an image series in a folder and then open it in virtualdub for example to create an avi
it will have no shadows and not look very arty but if you are looking to just do an animated face not so important.
bottom image took 16 secs with transmapped hair using 3Ddelight
top image not even a second with map for opacity for hair set to none and openGL
neither have lights only default ambient setting
had to edit as forum posted images wrong way around, the eye reflection gives it away!

I just rendered a short animation with that figure and hair
took 14 minutes, will depend on your spec, I used 32bit as I could not be bothered reopening it in 64bit (lipsync only loads in 32bit but saved scene renders in both)

    Thanks Wendy!

I will try that and I like your short video!
    Amazing 14 minutes!
The video I did was with WindowsXP and 32bit
The CPU is Intel (R) Core (TM) i7 CPU 920 2.67 GHZ
Now I have Win 7 and 64bit instead!
I will try that you mention with the hair

I see that you have the same score 5.9
as I have! still wonder how you can get down
to 14 minutes compare to my 2h and 40 minutes!

my score is mainly due to my limited main hard drive memory
I have a lot of external drives for storing stuff including all my Daz content, too worried about losing too much if I get a drive failure so deliberately limited how much I can have to stop me filling it!
