Thanks Bunyip and HW, for commenting on the Spiderman render.
Sorry I have been mostly absent. Probably won't get any better for the time being.
How did I miss this gem? The caption style is perfect. Are you using Comic Life for captions?
A very clean image, looking a bit like the Panos filter. The unique font really adds to the render!
Having to scale back the Dan DeCarlo tribute for Jetta project. I put together a G2M outfit and hair for Jetta's boyfriend, Arky.
Thanks !!

Thats the almost last of the daily renders I have been doing, hopefully those who have been lurking will join in, would love to see more renders by other people.
Subject ranges from Cartoons, Comics, Title pages, Graphic Novel, heaps of posibilities, so hurry up and get those renders done !!!
_ thanx , should be completed In time _
Awesome !!
Roll call - Cbird, DesertDude, Torquinox, Dartanbeck, Vyusur, any joy on making a render or three ?
HeadWax - jobwise are you going to have time to finish little Johnny ? Was looking forward to his escapade !
Stezza, get those entries in !
Wendy, any chance of an animation ?
Come on lurkers, 1400 1800 views, must be a few entries in that lot !!!
I think I finally have a concept, don't know why I've been so void of ideas.
Eve's Eve
Text added in Affinity Photo.
Glad your creative mojo is back in action, looking forward to your render/s !!!
Excellent creation render, love the composition !!!
Thank you for your kind words!
Delurking! I've been excited to follow this thread. I think I need to figure out how to pdf the whole thread eventually for study purposes.
Bunyip, I love the range of effects you are pulling out of the filters you are using. You've inspired me to spend more time with G'mic. I think Super Ribbit is hilarious, but the sheer joy of the bear in the woods really made me happy.
Stezza, I love the raccoon guy you've managed! so cool. Chickenman's sidekick cracked me up, lol.
Diomede, thank you for chronicling the hair experiment. Very informative.
Headwax, I love the illustration feel of the "Boy finds spaceship" variants, though I'd be hard pressed to pick a favourite. They look like they belong in a Ray Bradbury collection.
UB, Love the Jack Kirby tribute. The colours are perfect! Spiderman is amazing!
Vyusur, the textures you've used are beautiful.
I'm afraid we've been getting crazy weather which has my chronic migraines all wound up, but I've been poking away when I can stand to look at a screen.
Title: Origins
I wanted a non-photorealistic starfield, so I made a plane deep purple, nearly black, then in the glow channel added Enhance C starfield.
I tried my hand at modeling the spaceship, but I'm not sure if it is a spaceship or an ugly light shade. The weird alien soccer nets are the Carrara objects trellis tipped over and retextured. I tried using multiple copies of the virus with each set to a different transparency to try to get the comic book motion effect. Not sure it worked all that well.
I used ToonPro for lines that I then took into photoshop to darken and thicken.
I use G'mic Wild Cartoonizer on the full image.
Then took that to photoshop and ran it through Topaz Glow 2 which added to the toon effect.
Then Clip Studio Paint for the motion line and the text balloon.
Here is the before postwork:
_ Yeah , Thanx ._ and "could" be more than One _But, not sure about having more. So, maybe more_
Thanks !
Hope the migranes disappear.
Spaceship looks toon groovy, lovely render, definately gets the chuckles going !!!
Looking forward to your render/s !
