FBX Exporter in DS 4.6 is missing(?)

Is the FBX exporter suppose to be included free and fully functional in Daz 4.6? It worked at one time, but I have not used in awhile and now there is no saver option for it, and the FBX plug shows "unregistered" in 'About Installed Plugins' list. Was it just a trial thing at one time?
I purchased it back in 2011 (v2.0.6.23), and it works in DS 3.1, but is not working in DS 4.6. I tried running the installer again, and now in DS 4.6, under 'About Installed Plugins' it shows 'Plugin failed to load... made for a different version of DAZ Studio.'
The FBX Exporter is listed under 'My Account> Product Library', but there is no serial # listed under 'My Serial Numbers.'
How to get it working?

It is included. No need to install any FBX plugin.
If you installed an old plugin over the top then that would break it in the way you describe.
I think a re-install of 4.6 is the only to get it back.
I had actually just installed the latest version of 4.6, hoping the FBX would work but it didnt. Then I tried re-installing the FBX plugin from 2011, but it still did not work in DS 4.6. That FBX installer appears to only refer to DS v3x.
If FBX export is free now, I am wondering why it is still for sale http://www.daz3d.com/fbx-plug-in-for-daz-studio with instructions on how to activate it in v4.x (?).
I tried downloading the latest version of the FBX exporter, and installing it. But all it did was uninstall the previous plugin without installing anything new. Then the FBX export did not work in DS 3x or 4.6. So I reinstalled the older FBX version back, and it works again in DS 3x, but still not in DS 4.6.
So I am still wondering how to get it to work in DS 4.6.
I also purchased that. It was from back in the day when there was a Standard and a Pro version of Studio. The Standard version did not include the FBX exporter.
Now that everyone can have Pro for free, it looks like no one bothered to keep that product updated or at least change the description.
Meanwhile the FBX included with Studio Pro has been updated constantly.
I'm not sure how to get it working, is this a case of finding every trace of that plugin and manually deleting it before re-install?
(Just checking: Does your DS show as the Pro version?)
It shows as DAZ "Version 4.6.3.50 Advanced Edition 64-bit".
If I try to install the latest version again from the Daz site, where it reads, "Login here to get DAZ Studio Pro." Click on "Get DAZ Studio." It opens Install Manager, and a message reads " ...hang on while we download and install DAZ Studio 4.6 Pro..." I click "ok" and all it does is open 4.6 Advanced, without installing anything.
In that case go to 'your account' at daz3d.com and the 'your serial numbers' section. (that may not be the exact wording!)
That's where you'll find the number you need to put into Studio Advanced version for it to become the Pro version.
Hmmm, there are five different serial numbers listed for "DAZ Studio 4.6 Pro." Where do I enter the serial number in DS?
Oh, I found the 'Register Daz Studio.' It now reads "4.6.3.50 Pro Edition", but I still dont have an FBX export. I tried entering each one of the five different serial numbers, closing and reopening DS each time, but I still dont see an FBX export saver option.
Its under Help / Register DAZ Studiio.
(So you've bought it 5 times!!! I only bought it twice) :-)
Is it missing from the drop down list?
If I click File>Export, my 'Save as types' are:
mdd
bvh
dae
cr2
obj
u3d
No FBX. :-(
Mine works OK, and I can see FBX as an option with the latest version installed.
You need to go to Help > About Installed Plugins, look for 'FBX Exporter', and see what it says, mine says Version : 2.3.3.50
Under 'About Installed Plugins' I do not have an 'FBX Exporter.'
There is an "FBX Importer" that shows the same "Version 0.2.3.50" as yours. But no "Exporter"(?).
(assuming you use windows) This is the location and file size for the FBX importer/exporter I have in the DS 4.6.3.50
If your's are different it may be leftovers from the installed plugin confusing Studio or confusing the installer.
Have you done a re-install after Studio became the Pro version?
Yeah, my "dzfbxexporter.dll" file size "6,275" is different than yours and it's dated 2011.
I began this process with DS 4.6.2.118 Advanced installed, and no FBX Export.
I installed the latest version of DS Pro 4.6.3.50 a few hours ago. But still no FBX Export, and it was still named "Advanced", for some reason(?)
I entered one of the five (?) serial numbers I have for the "Pro" version, and now it says "Pro", but still no FBX.
DS wont install again.
I dont trust Install Manager and I suspect it is not working as it should.
I would:
first remove that old plugin, preferably with it's uninstaller.
If you're using the DIM use that to uninstall DS that should let you re-install
or download DS directly instead of using the DIM. That should let you install over the top.
Thank you so much prixat! You have been most helpful.
I re-installed DS without Install Manager and it all seems to be working now. The FBX Exporter finally showed up!
I guess I have five DS serial numbers because it was never clear how/where to upgrade the latest DS version from. I kept going thru https://www.daz3d.com/get_studio where it installs a different serial number each time, and insists on using the DIM. I just now figured out to download an exe from my Product Library.
