in the meantime there is always the option of doing each morph and exporting it as an obj for a morph target then saving the new morphing figure as a support asset under a new name.
Emailed you the .cr2 that should work in Carrara!
thanks Alessandro,
the new one works fine...
now that you know what the problem is will you be updating the Gharial as well for the Carrara users?
:-)
I just started playing around with the raccoon and noticed that it uses a shader called Brick Material. When I render in 3Delight, I get an error message that says it's converting to the default shader. But I figured since there's a special one for him, I should try to track it down.
And another question: I did all my set up for the raccoon in one file and then merged him into a scene that was all set up for the landscape. But his fiberhair didn't load. What's going on there?
Hello, probably the error message it's most likely a warning that can be disregarded. Is the render showing correctly?
About merging scenes containing LAMH Presets be very careful; we are rewriting code routines that handle load/save actions that are currently not safe. Merging scenes it's one of those (unsafe), and also parenting items is prone to issues. If I can give a word of advice, if you plan to make a scene merging multiple ones, use the non-LAMH fur version model: when you are done with setting everything as it should be, just select the Raccoon, attach the .lmh preset file and you are done. This way you will avoid all the unresolved load/save/merge issues.
Well, I think she looks like a raccoon. I might have made her a little fatter. At least the coons that show up on my porch to scarf down the cats' food are pretty hefty. This one look at bit on lean side. Maybe that's why she out scavaging during day light hours.
There is one that waddles up & down my driveway everyday on it's way to raid the neighbors dog food and cat food bowls. It must weigh 100 lbs.
I envy you. The most exciting thing I've seen in my garden recently is one of the neighbourhood cats. And I'm a dog person.
Cheers,
Alex.
LOL, well I'm glad Mr or Miss Racoon moved into my backyard because before then my yard was a pathway for cats. One has a cat, fine, so feed it. I don't want them skulking about in my yard.
Ok - I just reloaded her to see if I get a close-up and her fiberhair didn't load. On the previous version( that wasn't playing nice with my original landscape), I manually imported the OBJ and trying to align it with the critter was a major pain. Can't we just make it a conforming figure and be done with it? And given that that's wishful thinking at this point, how do I get it reload correctly? And given the difficulty in realigning it, I'm not sure I see the point in saving it. It probably wouldn't be any easier to align in Poser or another program. Another thought just occurred to me - it's not listed in the scene. Is that the problem? Why didn't it save?
On another note, I'd really like a way to set the default folder for all things exported or saved to my hard-drive to NOT be on my 128gb SSD (aka the C:\ drive).
Oh, my! My yard is veriitable menagerie. Coons, possums, deer, rabbits, a red fox once, a course birds, squirrels, cats, a few dogs every now and then but people are pretty good about keeping them confined. Maybe because of coyote rumors...
