How do I save a .DSA material setting?

I'm trying to save a material set for Genesis into my content library so it will be a nice convenient little button for me there, but I can't find what I would select to save as a .DSA (which is what all the other material sets in that area seem to be). When I go under the File>Save area, I see 'Material Presets', but that wants to save as a .DUF, and I'm pretty sure that's not what I'm looking for. I want a quick little button that will be in my content library Genesis>Materials folder and apply materials quickly to an already loaded Genesis. So what menu do I go to or how do I find the command to save to a .DSA file?

That is the correct format to use. the .dsa are older formats that were used in DS 4. You only need to save those if you still use DS4 otherwise .duf will be fine.
If you are on DS4 then you will find the .dsa format to save in the Save Depreciated files right at the bottom I think. Sorry haven't got PC on so not sure of exact wording etc.
All versions of DAZ Studio 4+ still support .dsa files, to save them it is Save As>Depriciated>(Type of File) sometimes the File Name pop up will even have other choices as a drop down menu under the file Name text box.
Hi,, Jaderlail,, but if we hope to use same preset for gen2female, I beleive, we need to them resave as duf.
or use script ^^;
Then,, Is their any reason, without version compatiblity, we choose dsa for preset?
A material preset in .duf is the preferred format, unless you specifically need it to be usable in DS4.0
I simply pointed out they are readable in all versions of DAZ Studio 4+. I never said they were usable on all content or figure versions. Do I need to go into Detail in every post I make? My point still stands all versions of DS 4+ can read a .dsa file. And the file Type can still be saved. I assumed the OP had a reason they wished to create the file type and just explained how that was done. Nothing more nothing less. I answered the question asked as it was asked. Genesis 1 can use a .dsa material file just as it did in DS 4.0.
Not a problem, I just got the impression the OP thought they needed to be .dsa and couldn't be .duf.
As for me, just add information for OP which have not mentioned in this topic.
then I asked question, what I feel if there is special reason to save as dsa still.
I have not said, Jaderlail suggest "you should use dsa, not duf" .
no problem. but if you feel depressing , no need to answer.
You are correct for the G2 figures a DUF file is needed.
Do not mind:)
I often reply or ask you, because I know you well in forum since I join here.
I only check which I have interesting, then not plan to check all what someone reply,
and I do not plan to be stalker ,, of course! ^^;
