When is a bridge not a bridge?

As I understand it, the Blender bridge is completely different to the Hexagon Bridge or GOZ. Those send a figure over to the modeling application where you can morph away so long as the vertex count remains the same and then there is a reverse direction bridge to send the morphed figure back.
I just thought I'd mention that I would still like to see that kind of bridge because I still go through a fairly laborious routine to get an OBJ file out of DAZ Studio and into Blender and then use Morph Loader Pro to load the morphed figure. A one-click solution in both directions would be a significant time saver.

I've never even gotten the goz bridge to successfully send daz models back. I always have to export it *sigh*
I've had access to ZBrush at various times but never been able to afford to buy it myself (before I retired, I worked for a company where just about any software was available for evaluation). I didn't learn much about Zbrush but did use it to create morphs and fix clothing poke-through (long before dForce was a thing). I do have Hexagon but prefer Blender - the scuplt tools are similar to what I saw in ZBrush. Anyhoo ... Goz worked fine for me back then. Can't comment on recent versions.
I agree, marble.
I was also hoping this new bridge was going to be a true 'live' bridge like the Hexagon one, but it is just another exporter.
If all you're after for a quick morph target session is out of Daz Studio to Blender in one click and vice versa, I don't believe it exists -- The closest I have seen one click from the DS side is mcjTeleBlender which will export object, start Blender, and import object/set-up scene. However, no return trip.
But, if you don't mind a couple of clicks, you could try the GoB_DS 'bridge' addon for morph target work -- One click auto-export in DS -- One click auto-import in Blender.
Do your morph target work, and when ready for return trip -- One click auto-export in Blender -- One click auto-import in DS - bypassing Morph Loader Pro and automatically creates morph target slider - you just rename it and do normal permanent save.
Like any addons, there is one time setups for both DS scripts and the Blender scripts -- But, is for your benefit to allow you to set up a custom 'bridge' folder wherever (and name it whatever you like) you want it - be it in Documents, Program Files, D drive, whatever -- Just set both to know where the object is, and the one-clicks do the rest.
Does this sound like something you might be interested in?

If I understand you right, yes, that might well do the trick. Sounds a little more involved that the Goz/Hexagon bridges but a lot less hassle than the manual export/import method. I followed your links but didn't see a download link - is it something you hand out privately? Feel free to PM me if so.
