Hi all,
I am having a terrible time getting my model with clothes and poses into a scene with other models
here is what ive tried so far
- exporting to c4d using bridges- file looks great, clothes and textures are good, but only as its own scene. When i try to merge the c4d file (with only the model) into the target c4d scene I want it in, it loses all textures and everything is black. ive tried reapllying the textures once inside but cant manage to get it looking right
- exporting the good c4d scene (from bridges) as both fbx and obj from inside c4d, and then merge it with the target scene. it does not keep textures. i cannot reapply textures
- exporting fbx directly from daz. it loses the poses and clothes no longer fit. clothes are in the pose, the model reverts to original form
if anyone can help with settings or ideas that would be great. i tried both checking and unchecking merging the clothes onto model option, neither changes the situation. I appreciate any help!!

Can you render the DAZ Studio scene in c4d? Does the trouble start when you try to merge a DS scene with a c4d scene? Or, are you converting somehow the DS scene into a c4d scene? Do DS poses come into c4d looking OK?
Hi thanks for the reply, Yes I can render the daz scene just fine using bridges in c4d-poses, textures, morphs etc look fine. I just have to fix the eyes and adjust the hair a bit. Also, yes the trouble starts when I try to merge that scene into a different c4d scene. Different trouble starts with different exports So if I try to export an fbx into the target scene the model goes into default pose, while the clothes/hair etc are in the position i put it in daz. I hope that makes sense. I have tried all combinations i can think of.
i am concerned right now with a still scene, but overall Animations are a whole other beast. I cant get animation to work with bridges, but it does with fbx export frm daz.
