Sometime between now and the December holidays I normally retire my morgue boxes 'til next October however I think this year I'll just leave this available. Indeed there are a few ideas for more products on the burner of contemplation.

For those who may be interested in facts and interesting stories Caitlin Doughty has a channel on Youtube.com. She's a Mortician with a sense of humour providing stories and facts like few would be so qualified to say. I'm not putting links to her videos 'cause I rather doubt that would be a good idea in here.

hearing the story of the literally undead guy was fun... once. if i opend CD's channel and heared a few more of those spicy stories, i think i might get scared at the least noise at home late XDDD.
"my morgue boxes"... just how MANY do you have?? is this a regular hobby of yours? XD

  • Thanks, grabbed them all.

Oh the fella from India was not from one of CD's stories. That was on another YouTube.com video, I forget the channel's name atm. I didn't post the link for it because while not gory or anything [picture wise] it did get into topics not welcome in these forums.

CD's channel [I haven't watched all of them] has some curious stories too but so far any folk showing up to the funeral homes as dead, were indeed not dead to start with - and she actually has a way of telling the stories in such a fashion as to take away people's fears. For starters their staff are well trained and truly know the difference between the living and the dead :-) Lots of history and she does tell jokes too. And she does explain things about various matters for the profession. Like for starters, no they are not all rolling in dough from the pandemic. Most of how they make their monies, they are not allowed to do right now either.

Well the first morgue box was that large filing cabinet type. I remember that one 'cause after I pulled it, then Daz3D.com released a collection of regular type filing cabinets lol ....

Then last year when I had re-upped it, people were wanting some changes so there became the second, same as the first but with modifications. Keeping in mind that some were actually wanting closer to reality than the edition I had made [referenced from a sit-com type movie] I started watching some rather curious videos on YouTube.com. And there I found a design from an allegedly haunted area. Searching a little more I found a company making and selling similar types and they had that scissor lift. So this year's edition was based loosely, inspired by if you will, on those.

And then from CD's vidclips there are more ideas available for some extras, which if we should live so long, would likely be made and released in time for next October. One interesting detail for reality, for those wanting reality in their renders ... when people die their eyes AND mouths are open. The nicest way to close the mouth is to simply put a roll of material under their chin. Concerning the eyes, unless you're the one preparing the corpse, is to simply put a cloth over the face. There is a curious made-mention in ancient texts that he who closes the eyes is the murderer.

No absolutely not, anything to do with morgues is not my regular hobby lol ... I prefer hobbies involving the living ;-)

oh i realized the indian guy's story was not one of CD's. just.. you know, creepy too, lol...

i think just the subject of dead bodies.. in very small doses i can cope with it. like, once in a while you read that for a few minutes and that's it. forgotten (hopefully) a bit later. but watching a channel with a lot of whatever related to death... nope. i'm very imressible (is that even a word?), means everything leaves a mark on my memory very easily. and it stays there. wher it will be recalled at the weirdest, most unlucky moment possible. when it's dark and you're alone in the middle of nowhere :/

but i see that you get good inspirations for your various morgue-ish items on this channel lol..

i didn't know people too died with their mouth/eyes open.. i noticed that from cats tho, since a few of my compagnons are meanwhile sadly gone.

i very much hope we'll still be alive next october TT... but yeah these days, it's not evident.i mean, life has always been fragile, and any of us can get killed by anything any moment. especially in certains regions of the globe. but right now, since probably the spanish flu, death hadn't been so ominipresent on a planetary scale. it looks like humans are being culled. and sadly, as always, they take millions of animal lives with them too.

so, i won't watch that channel - what i need right know is actually something that DISTRACTS me from all this death... still, your morgue-ish stuff is very appreciated. as i said, in small doses, i can cope... ;)

skin tone sets like.. drown grey, moldy green, charred brown, purple rash polkadots, skinned red, asphyxia blue... XXDD. wait.. what's yellow? laughdevil
