Still adding things to the Reference Links (beginning of this thread- I moved it from thread 3 so easier for you to find.) If you want to have a figure in Smart Content, here's how to do it, complete with a thumbnail. (Hey, Sarge....)
And again, this is in the reference links for future use.

It's been a while, so I thought I'd drop in a couple of pics of recent purchases.

This is Luthbel's Vendetta for G2M showing two of the four texture sets (it's a big download of 669 MB). The first is a simple pose with no tweaking of the outfit (just the way it auto-poses). The second is a little more dynamic and needed a bit of handle-tweaking on the cloak (which hung rather flatly when auto-following) and the kilt (which followed the legs too much giving an unrealistic bend) - I didn't spend a huge amount of time on this and could have got it better. There are three "regions" of the cloak (left, right and centre) which can be moved from the top, the middle or just the bottom, so quite a bit of scope there. On the kilt you can bend/twist/side-side the left and right separately, with extra handles for the front corners. I really like the textures, especially the leather on the gloves and mask. The model is one of the M3DTeen Base for G2M shapes. The sword in the first is href="http://www.daz3d.com/short-swords">Short Swords by DAZ3D/Valandar and in the second the pose and rapier are from href="http://www.daz3d.com/rapier-duels-for-genesis-2-male-s">Rapier Duels for G2M by FeralFey.

He's standing in The Village Courtyard 02 by Stonemason - I've done the first without DOF to see it in focus, but added DOF to the camera for the second. I have the original Village Courtyard and really like it, so I had to pick up the second. I'm not a huge fan of cherub statues (though perfectly well done) but the buildings are lovely, with lots of neat nooks and crannies for placing people in.

The lighting is an Advanced Distant Light for the whole scene and a single Advanced Spotlight on the man and outfit.

ETA: I've just added in a third, which I actually did before the others - just to show some of that architecture closer in. (People came from another scene in the original Courtyard so can't remember exactly what they are wearing).
    EDIT (28/August) TO ADD:

    Looks good Melanie!
Yeah, it's hard to really describe ALL the nooks and crannies- that set has so much height to it, and the archways lead to covered alcoves, and just to either side of where your characters are is a great area for plants. It's a real treasure trove!

I like the romantic overtone of the man coming up the steps and the camera angle where the tree overlaps the woman's dress- very nice touch to add depth. Luthbel's products are always neat because they're usually layered or really detailed, and this one is no exception. I don't particularly like the mask (reminds me of an ant eater!) but at least people have the option to use it.

One of the little details that I like about the set are the lion heads in the stone. Fits right in with the majestic overtones of the set.

Congrats to the winners of the RRRR contest! See the winning entries from links found here:
    http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/43830/#644153

And the new RRRR is already posted. Have some fun!
I've been busy doing a render for Slosh's genie competition- and you know me, my contest entries take me forever. I've been working on it since the contest was announced. It should be ready in a day or so, I'll also post it here.

I just wanted to mention that I thought of Jeff today- it's been a month since our Drow friend was no longer with us. I continue to piddle with things and going through my Reference Links, I have to smile at all the help Jaderail has given me this past month.

Hope everyone is enjoying the 60% off all those stores- and I just wanted to thank the vendors who are participating. I picked up Eclipse as I didn't have her, and the Einstein looking cartoon character. Also got those 99 office props.

Originally I was going to do hot chicks with baby birds in front of the fan, but since it's for a contest, posing people is harder so I went that route. But it was tempting :) I was going to have a few being blown away, but I couldn't do that to the poor lil things.

I wish you did the chicks. I think that would have been even funnier. Is it too late?

No, contest ends August 31st. But since I already entered it, I'll leave it. :) I might do the chicks for this thread though. (wicked cackle.)

Very funny, Novica! I love the way you can see the second stag being conjured up from the lamp, and the party hat was a nice touch. Neve definitely looks like a 'hot woman' too --you can feel her relief at being in front of that fan.

    Thanks :)
The Anemone Hair (on Anabelle, kneeling with the deer) is one of my favorites- I had her hair blowing also and it is easy to do. That hair is unusual because it has thumbnails showing the morphs and you just click on the image and POOF! the hair does its thing. I haven't seen the Winter Angel Hair used very often either- and it's a goodie. (On the fan girl, Neve.)

Here's another of the Genie (Bryonia- great eye makeup options) using a Gia Fantasy pose.
    5:20am, headed to bed. :)

EDIT: Did you see the teeny green hat on the jumping deer? I had to smile when I shrunk the deer and the hat looked so...tiny.

At the right angle, Rockstar Hair looks very elegant.
I went with the light lips and made my own color in Diffuse. Keep a lookout in makeup options for lighter colored lips so you can make your own colors- it's harder to do when the lips are dark. I used a light orange for the Specular.

Pose is from Blue Moon Poses (Stephanie 6)

Caomihe has a lot of nice makeup options for the eyes.

I can't believe I needed you to tell me the fan was for the "hot chicks", lol. I feel like such a dope because I really like puns, and the more they make me groan, the more I like them. I really like both of the renders you put in, Novica, and the third that you showed above. BTW, I put in the lengthen morph on the vest specifically because you asked for it :)

Oh yes, I see that green hat too, and that blowing hair on the lovely Annabelle. This is why I love your work, always so much attention to making every detail of the scene contribute to the story.

Those are beautiful renders, Melanie. The Luthbel outfit is right at home in this amazing set.

I'm drawn in by the lovely composition in the romantic one, leading us up and round those stairs. Something else that caught my eye was the fur effect on her collar, it looks really good even though it's a small detail. I don't have that outfit yet but will look out for it.

LOL- this is where I can't resist saying you missed it because you were sloshed?
    And I love that vest!

Another view of the outfit Caomihe is wearing. I let it render while I snoozed.
Anyone else have Caomihe or Rockstar Hair with a render done? Those sandals are really cute!

OT: A wave coming off Africa is going to have a 40% shot at forming into a tropical entity immediately coming off the coast. Watch and see if it is fairly strong- as funny as this seems, if it's strong, it will get picked up and curved- no problem. If it's a weak thing, hello Caribbean. The trough will miss it and the storm will go west and strengthen. This is two weeks from now. It's looking healthier every day.

Hi K.B! Yeah, they are certainly doing a nice job of varying the items, aren't they? Made me so mad, I missed one a few days ago, forgot to check out. I have Mavka and Invetero, can't remember if we've showcased those or not. Thanks for the heads up.

This isn't meant to be a scene, I just wanted to show you some of the props from the set of 99. But I figured plopping a figure in there, showing the horror of his "new office space" that was promised.... well, anyway, just look at the props and figure and pretend the walls are there lol.

Note this comes in a DAZ Studio version, and a Poser version. I only linked to the D.Studio one.

The bulletin board comes with all those things already attached. Funny poster- it says not to bury it and of course, things are plastered in front of it. You definitely get your money's worth with all these props, I barely scratched the surface. The folders (IMO) look better in the distance, the squares attached to them seem rather flat to me (on the binder. Those would stick out a little.)

You have a choice of one rolled rug or two btw.

Be sure and check the waistline of this outfit- Ja-long is thin and even so, I had to expand the pants so the shirt wasn't poking through the belt. Nice outfit!

Click to enlarge and see the fun details. Large render.

BTW, the vendor left a funny message for the buyers- on the Post-It notes hanging off the bulletin board. I tried to zoom in on that page on the bulletin board, but it is not focusing. But then saw these.... Here ya go! (Click to enlarge.)

The buy a new release get 8% off gift cards works in conjunction with also getting 10$ off select M4/V4 items. While I have quite few V4/M4 items I yet need, this is a pretty great deal.

Wow, a lot of nice stuff since I was here last. Novica, you genie contest render is a hoot! Sasje and MelanieL, nice renders! Almost tempting me to buy stuff I don't need,

I got the Gardens of Poseidon Super Bundle when Orestes Graphics was 60%. With my $6 coupon it was $20! I haven't done any underwater stuff, but those plants looked so beautiful I couldn't resist.

I am hopefully ready for the big PA sale. Just bought a nice gift certificate. ;-) I hope it was for enough. I am going to try to restrain myself this year. LOL.

That's a GREAT idea- use the gift certificate for the PA sale. You're thinking ahead :) Back atcha.

BTW, on the New Release page, the square promo on the upper right says PA stores will be 50%. I can't remember if that's what it was last year. Anyone remember?
