Using reduced resolution genesis

Hi. In Carrara 8.5, how do I make Genesis low resolution? (someone had mentioned in another thread a couple of months ago, that you could use a lowish poly version of Genesis in Carrara if building scenes with multiple characters where closeups or hi resolution not an issue. (regular genesis loading at 66830 polys and changing modeling and render level from 1 to 0 doesn't change those totals)

Thanks

A - Select "Actor" in the instances tray (lower arrow in image)

B - Change the Slider for Smoothing "Render Level" (upper arrow in image) from 2 to 1 or 0

Oh, that's a tip that might be useful, and I'm not even the OP. Thanks.

In C8.5 Genesis = 18872 polys, and Genesis2Female = 21098 polys. That is the base resolution that is loaded by default, and as Dartanbeck points out the smoothing options allow for higher res at the working stage or at render time. Very handy features.

In Daz Studio the high res meshes are loaded by default and you need to manually dial them down to the base mesh

It would really be nice though if genesis and G2F and G2M had LOD options like the generation 4 figures
