This contest is designed to help you produce realistic looking water, and also glass and mirrors, as they are related subjects.

When working on your submissions, if you would like to get feedback as you work or before posting your final image, please post your image to the WIP THREAD. People will be popping in to the WIP THREAD to give you some critique and advice on your entry and help along the way.
Please keep all comments on entries etc to the WIP THREAD as well because comments or requests for help/feedback/advice will be removed from the contest thread and merged into the WIP THREAD. This thread is only for posting final contest submissions.
For those veterans of the forums that would like to help, because this contest is designed for the beginner to learn from, we will be randomly selecting posts offering helpful tips and/or critiques to receive a special voucher as well so whether you are a seasoned artist or an aspiring one, there is fun for everyone!

DAZ Studio 4.6 Free version: new default: “Barefoot Dancer female model” & Toulouse hair model prop. Default Genesis 2 female model, Aldora hair.
Old Poser 3: Modified leotard, modified dress shoes, other female background figures.
Old TS4.2: Towel, door and wall clock props were originally created for this image.
Photo Shop; Modified textures
Bryce 7.1 PLE free version: The scene was created, assembled, textured and rendered in
Bryce.
Render Time: 2 hrs 43 min.

Title: On a Summers Day
Software used:
DAZ Studio 4.6 (free version) Genesis 2 default female model and clothes. default aldora hair, new default Genesis 2 male model, default wildmane male hair. New default male beachwear and surfboards, sandals.
Poser 3: Dog model prop.
TS4.1: cooler, basket, seashells, waves are height fields custom created.
Photoshop: minor texture mods
Bryce 7.1 PLE (free version) Landscape, rocks, vegetation, environment, lighting, texturing.
The scene was assembled, textured and rendered in Bryce.
render time: 15 hours 30 min.
Post work: None

Story Background:-
A menacing creature, the Paludem Rana, has been spotted leaving it's normal habitat,
traveling up the canals and into the backyard garden pools of PhantasiaeUrbem.
Heroine Ranger, EstDraco Volare, has been sent out to investigate ...........
Picture Details:-
Water surface of pond was created as per the "Creating Ripples in DAZ Studio by SimonJM" tutorial using Dformers.
Mirrors are props that were originally mirrors with tweaking to get the best overall effect. (First time for using mirrors in a render)
Render done in DAZ3D 4.6.
Postwork done in Paint-Shop-Pro X6, using Ron's brushes to acheive the splash effects to make the scene look more dynamic.
(Would like to have done the splashes in Carrara, but will need more experience before I can do that)
