LIE Realizer - make your Skin Builder, and other, LIE based materials faster.
While I liked the results I was getting from Skin Builder, I didn't like the long wait times when loading scenes with one or more characters that used the Skin Builder materials. So, I started looking for a solution and ended up creating this script.
You can download the script from the DA page at: http://ue1paipa.deviantart.com/art/LIE-Realizer-0-6-1-480448838
The script copies the results of the LIE image processing to a directory of your choosing. When run on Genesis and Genesis 2 figures, it will optionally combine surfaces that normally use the same images into one image, i.e. Hips, Torso, Neck, etc. surfaces will use the same image.
The script has only been tested under windows in Daz Studio 4.6.3.52, but should work under OSX as well. Due to the use of the dropUndo() function,
the script as released requires Daz Studio 4.6.2.117 or later.
The method used relies on the undocumented way in which PNG images are created in the temporary directory after processing the LIE data. A change in any new release of Daz Studio could change this and break this script's functionality.
Daz didn't publically specify how this works and it may change at any time. Through trial and error, I just discovered that it currently works this way in Daz Studio 4.6.3.52 and was able to create this script to leverage that.
The license is GPL v2, feel free to use it and redistribute it. Just don't call it your own.

Brilliant! I too discovered the Mysterious Temp Directory, and I've been manually transferring my LIE-based textures [Mostly DraagonStorm's Instant Makeup] to my own directory, converting them to smaller files [jpgs] and creating DUF mat presets. But anyway, I am glad that you have scripted an automation of part of this process. Look, everyone -- pay attention to this achievement! :D

I'm happy someone other than me understood what it did and is getting a benefit from it, :-).
I haven't tried it yet with the Wet Body Geometry Shells yet, but its certainly made my use of Skin Builder a lot nicer.
Oh sweet I will have to give this a try.
