3D Printing and hair...

I got issues printing a character with hair. Hair is too complex, so I look for a way too make it simpler. I think about using Zbrush or Meshmixer to sculpt it. As I think that there is no easy answer to my "How to?" I would like to ask if anyone did hair simplifying, what program would be useful (I got rudamentary Blender skills). I just watched a youtube tutorial where another massive shell was sculpted (Zbrush) between the head and the scalp to fill the tiny non-defined spaces.

What do you recommend for solving hair issues with 3D print?

You might try finding hair that's already simple. If you have access to Poser, find the hair for the early poser cgaracters. If not try some of the toon character hair. Personally I like Lady Littlefox's hair for Koshini and Aiko 3.

Get rid of all transparencies & textures

Apply one of the transparency maps as a displacement and play with the values.

I haven't actually tried printing the results I got with this yet.

Unfortunately, these hairs tend to intersect the head and I don't know how well

yes creating a unified skin in Zbrush one way,

extruding or adding thickness another and what I did when I 3D printed a figure

I used Carrara but Blender, Hexagon etc can do it too.
