Type 36 Dynamic Field Generator:
Dynamic Field Generators are a variation of the Vector Array Field Emitters commonly used to produce Atmospheric Containment Fields (ACFs) and Light Barrier Fields (LBFs).
Though more commonly used as energy generators, the units have several other applications as well:

• Coupled with a Portable Tensor Link Emitter, several units together can form a Dynamic Barrier Field. By adding or moving the units to different locations, a facility can increase its coverage as it expands.

• Mobile units (or in some cases built in dedicated units) equipped with Radion Compensators Arrays can be used to temporarily stabilize the core of a damaged fusion power plant until a safe shutdown can be enacted.

• Equipped with Graviscalar Repulser Nodes, units can be used to support or lift large engineering projects or be used as support stabilizers for grounded space vessels.

The Type 36 unit can be easily converted to a mobile unit using numerous aftermarket adapters.
Type 36 units are generally identified by having sixteen shunt locks on each side as well as their oversized vent caps. Internally the use eight toric inverters around their main core.
The common Type 36 configuration was first developed by TaiyoTron Interworld Industries in 4213 but has since been licensed to numerous other manufacturers.
