Couldn't you install Maya 2019 or whatever version you previously used, import it, save the scene and open in 2022? I had Maya 2022 but switched back to 2019 (I think.) I do the same with Blender if something doesn't work for 3.0, I set it up in 2.93, save it and open the file in 3.0 and it works. It's an extra step, I know, but it should work.
Hi,
I get this issue on the option "Rig or Re-target Skeleton" - DazToMaya 1.8 with Maya 2020 or 2022 versions. When I click on the option, nothing change on the model. No new rig. The model stay in T position. But these new things appears in the Maya's Outliner (Wich doesn't comes as seen on the DAZ videos with the same hierachie):
And I get this error message:
"// Error: file: C:/Users/MACPRO03/Documents/maya/modules/DazToMaya/scripts/DAZTools.mel line 1694: Could not add constraint or connections."
The Basic Genesis 8 model stay in the T pose. I have tried to reinstall several time the DazToMaya plugin. Doesn't want to work even with the github files...
Is someone to help or get same issue ? Thank you in advance for a help ;-)

Please do not post images showing textured, nude figures. Use an untextured displacy mode, zoom in to show only the upper body (since its male), or give it some in-scene covering (not painted on afterwards).
Sorry for this!
If it's the same problem I had, go to where it says control rig in the top right hand side and change it to none. Then retarget the skeleton and it should work. Now here's the thing, I have yet to get it to work with a character with clothes or hair, so I just send them over with absolutely nothing, get the rig set up and animate that and send the keys back into Daz to apply to the character and render in Daz. If you happen to figure out how to get the skeleton to work with the character having clothes, please post it here as I'd love to know how to do it. I'm sure it's doable but I don't know Maya well enough to know what's what.
Hi,
I started having issues with Daz to Maya plugin today. It was working fine a few days ago but there was a problem when I opened an existing project in Maya 2022. The control rig was where I last saved it but the G8F mesh was on its back. The pivot point was the same for both the rig and the mesh. When I moved the hip control, the mesh would react as it should but it was rotated -90°. It was very strange so I reinstalled the Daz to Maya plugin and even uninstalled and reinstalled Maya. It only got worse because now I can't get the plugin to work at all. I did the whole Github process to get it working in the first place but I can't get it to work again.
Like many on this and other threads about the issue, I'm getting the following error:
// Warning: file: J:/Applications/Maya2022/scripts/others/pluginWin.mel line 316: Failed to call script initialize function //
// Error: file: J:/Applications/Maya2022/scripts/others/pluginWin.mel line 316: (DazToMaya) //
I'd greatly appreciate any advice on how to get this working again without having to go back to Maya 2019.
Thanks in advance!

so I can no longer generate face controls is this known? I follow the video from two years ago just saying bruh hit the button but I get errors now and nothing seems to work to get facial bones? even projects I saved before that had facial bones seems to have reverted to nothing super cool stuff its like this this is still in early beta. is there a discord this this app or are we just having to sit here on the fourms waiting
