Welcome to the 7th annual Monster Mash Halloween Bash!

On Halloween, while humans dress up as demons, the demons themselves take off from scare duty. They trade their gloomy and ghastly rags for the brightest, most modern duds they can find and kick up their heels, celebrating that one night of the year during which the humans have assumed the monsters' usual task of freaking people out. [Nobody ever claimed that demons could coordinate their separates, however.] Here Malicia [center] does a jig, accompanied by Desperanda [left] on panpipes and Maxima Culpa "Maxi" [right] on drum.

I challenged myself to make a render for this contest using freebies only and no paid items. Even with a conservative counting scheme [not counting an unseen freebie, counting an entire outfit set as a single freebie], I think I've succeeded.

I love this, Slimer! That is one of my all-time favorite songs ever! LOL And really, the old devil should know better than to underestimate southern boys. They're craftier than they like to let on! Great take on the Bash! :D Love the overalls, too... great touch.

Thanks! I was having a "devil" of a time with the devil. First, I wanted to use the old Freaky Devil (long lost weekly freebie), but I don't have the original Freak base. I tried it with M3, but it was a mess. The rigging was all wrong. The Freaky She-Devil works, sort of, but this pic needed a He-Devil. I ended up with F4 and the creature creator morphs, then dialed in one hell of a sunburn (pun intended). The Optitex overalls were just plain grey, so I used a seamless tile of denim to make them look more "country".

I saw The Charlie Daniels Band live once at Spartan Stadium San Jose, in pouring rain. They were the warm up band for the Grateful Dead. That's the ONLY time I ever saw the warmup band get called back for an encore before the Grateful Dead played. They had another song I really liked that didn't get as much air play as this one. "Caballo Diablo" really made the hair on your neck crawl. It still does. There's a fairly tame version on YouTube, but the live version was awesome.

Mind you, I'm like the Martians in "Mars Attacks." Country music makes my brain explode. :lol: I do like some "Southern Fried Rock and Roll" now and again.

This entry reminds me of our very first MMHB winner in 2008. Jeeperz' "Devil went down to Ga." won first place. One thing about this render that many did not know is, in the far right corner, behind the tombston, you can see the famous no longer availible "Creepy Clown" peeking through. This was the original CC too. Kinda spooky huh?
