Can You Feel The Love Today?
We would like to see how you all see How Love is different now days with what has been going on.
The Rules For This Months Freebie Challenge are:
1. A minimum of (5) Freebies must be included in your image along with Links to the freebies you have used. For an item to be considered free it must be offered as a freebie for the whole month. The exception to this rule is all Daz Bi-Weekly Freebies will be allowed throughout the entire month in which they are free as well as the month following their release as a freebie (For a total of 2 months). Also, if a freebie is broken down into multiple downloads/links/parts (IE like if the freebie is broken down into 3 zips etc...)it only counts as 1 freebie, not 3.
2. There will be a Maximum of 5 purchased items.
3. Base figures (All Gen 2,3,4, and Genesis 1,2,3) as well as their general morphs packs (Morphs++ and similar) do not count as a purchased item or a freebie and may be used as needed
4.Your Rendered Picture must be a new render and postwork is allowed but you MUST include a before and after Postwork versions of your entry in the Entry Thread.
5. All DAZ 3D Programs are allowed (IE Bryce, Carrara, Daz Studio and Hexagon) plus Poser for the contest.
6. All entries are subject to the Daz3D TOS Found Here: Terms Of Service
7. You may enter a Maximum of 4 Entries per month.
8. You may edit your entry as much as you like in the main thread but once it is posted to the "Entries Thread" it may not be further modified. Also, if you edit or add things, be sure you update any links or freebie changes you make.
This Freebie Challenge will end Sunday February 28th @ 23:59 Daz time.

The tale:
Amsterdam, The Netherlands 11:48 AM, "Hey girl, what are you up late?" Nico said to Ellie when she called her via a video call using the Signal app. "And what are you there sitting in the dark honey?" "Yeahh, couldn't sleep so decided to play some more with one of the latest DAZ Bi-weekly Freebies and it's a full moon so a beautiful light is shining in..." (Ellie)
Nico flew to the Netherlands for Christmas to stay with her parents but was unable to fly back to Los Angeles due to the tightened Corona measures.

I call this image
"One is the loneliest number".
I offer a possible story for this image.
"Vickie has recently lost her love during the pandemic. It was just so sudden. He was only 29 and as fit as a fiddle. He got sick, feeling awful and looking blue-grey. That evening he was rushed to hospital, and she was told he'd be lucky to survive the night. That was Saturday, by Thursday they were talking about releasing him on the next Saturday. Friday, he got worse at an astonishing rate and died of multi-organ failure on Saturday, the intended day of release. She'd never even got the chance to hold his hand and say goodbye. Now today, absorbing the news the pregnancy test has just given her, Vickie went to where they had first met and she felt closest to him, ordering the same as they had eaten on their first meeting in the park. Chips and frankfurter, with coke. What a meagre meal for the weight of meaning now attached. He had Gypsy Tart to follow, a revolting local delicacy consisting mostly of sugar cooked in condensed milk. Sitting in her chair, the tears gently rolled down her face as his chair remained empty next to her. But it was the closest she'd felt to him since.. since that awful day.
It was not the way she'd expected to celebrate their first child, celebrate their love for each other...

[As an aside, my wife & I know/knew a couple where one of an inseparable pair died in the exact chronology I described. In their case it was 'Trish' of 'Trish and Arnie' who died. She was only 42, and was as fit & well as someone born without legs can be. She competed in Paralympic events and was incredibly athletic. Arnie, 7 months on, is still bereft with the other half of himself missing. We also know of 11 other families eviscerated by this awful disease.]
BTW, this list took about the same time to compile as the image from concept, to modelling, to completion.

The tale:
At the end of September 2021 (Covid-19 measures had almost all been lifted), Alysha had already noticed that Ellie was not doing so well. Nico had been gone for almost 10 months and Ellie hadn't heard from her in the last 4 weeks. Ellie was very pleased that Alysha had asked her to go for a jog, even though she found it very tiring. Suddenly her phone rang, it was Nico who told her that she had met a very nice Dutch girl, Eileen, and that she had fallen in love with her. "I still love you Ellie, but it's not like before ..." It seemed as if the whole world was disappearing around her and Ellie broke down in tears...

Whom to congratulate?
Maybe none of the entries are good enough? I certainly have that suspicion of my entry having seen the others.
I saw reported in the book 'Return of Heroic Failures' by Stephen Pile that there was a choir competition in the Republic of Ireland at a town called Arklow (where incidentally the fire station has burnt to the ground twice because all the equipment needed to extinguish the fire was in the firestation, and all the firefighters could do was stand and stare) where only one choir turned up, and came second. The other two choirs went to the wrong venue and the Arklow Choir turned up 30 minutes late, so were penalised into coming second.
Maybe the judges are working towards being that delightfully eccentric? On the other hand, in the March competition, SaphireWild said she'd(?) been suffering from a severe case of real life.
