Snow Beast with dForce Hair for Genesis 8 Male Issues with Fur

Hi guys,

I'm new to Daz and still trying to figure it out. I think I've got a few bits down already.

I bought Snow Beast with dForce Hair for Genesis 8 Male and I've loaded him up without issue.

However I can't get the fur as seen in the product page.

I can get quite dense fur in specific body parts if I pick Surfaces -> Hair Generation Mode -> Target Surfaces. Or I can have very thin balding hair all over his body if I pick Hair Generation Mode -> Root Radius. The density button disappears when I do so I'm left with a balding creature.

Is there anyone who has the asset and knows how to use it that can walk me through how to get the fur because I'm at my wits end.

TIA

Are you rendering? All you'll see in smooth shaded preview mode is guide hairs. The actual geometry of the hair is generated on rendering.

Which version of Daz Studio are you using? Have you tried rendering?

I tried that, but that' not it. This is what the render look like (I've not let it complete becaue it woul take hours)

1st pic: With Target surface selected (and increased density)

2nd pic: with root radius. I can't control density at all with this setting (it just looks bigger because I've increaed the hair width.

    I'm using version 4.15.02
