How to search on forums

How to search in forums?

Hi!

When I do searches on the forum I get way too many spurious results, and I'm not sure how to search for a category. In this instance, I'm trying to find the product forum page for Ultimate Make-up by PhilW, but can't figure out how to search by category. I tried entering various variations and I'm sure there is a simple way to go to a product's forum thread, but apparently I'm too dense to figure it out. Help here?

Use quotation marks if you exepct the words to be in that order, otherwise it's usually easiest to use a regualr search engine such as DuckDuckGo with site:www.daz3d.com as one of the search terms. However, do be aware that not every product has an official forum thread, though you may find other discussions related to its use.

Like Richard said you might get better results using a regular search engine.

    Google example:

    site:www.daz3d.com/forums +morph and g8 and female

    Syntax:

site: = keyword to tell google to search in the succeeding site only

    www.daz3d.com/forums = where to search

+ = operator telling google the search term must be in the results

and = all search terms preceded by and must be in the result

I use Google too. Still a lot of hits, but it finds what I'm looking for a lot more often.
