Converting Daz Studio 4 people to Poser

edited December 1969 in Poser Discussion

II have seen the tutorial on exporting files to poser from Daz 4. I have converted Bar Soomian figure into Poser, but the tusk will not show in the screen. Link to video tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDYEvSb7jQs. Any help on why the tusk will show up in Poser9?

This is the Carrara forum. Maybe a mod will move it to the relevant forum. If you want to move a file from D/S to Carrara or from Poser to Carrara, then you'll get a lot help. ;-)

That video is...somewhat out of date, which is why I wrote a tutorial on the topic.

However, I didn't cover geografting. I'm given to understand (by someone who's tried a geografted figure) that the way DAZ Studio exports this is to have the geografted aspects export as a conforming figure. Perhaps if you can show us what figures are in the scene heirarchy we might be able to determine what's going on? (Sorry, I don't have the figure you're trying to use).

    Cheers,

    Cliff

I don't have the Bar Soomian figure but the product features list the tusks and antenna as being Geo-Grafted items.

I imported the Medolian figure made by the same PA, into Poser - the 'Longhead' item for the character is also a Geo-graft figure and I had to import it as a conforming item after I had completed the main figure. It conformed to the character pretty well in Poser.

I'd love to know if you manage to get the tusks working.....:)
