[Solved] Import Poser Walk Path animations into DAZ
Hi, anyone have experience in import Poser animations into DAZ ??
I have tried different attemps but all fail....... (e.g. import a .pz3 file direclty, export to maya then import)
Poser have walk cycle motion path animations.
Life will be a lot easier if these animations can import to DAZ.
Anyone have tried this before ?
[Solution]
After more trys and errors, I find out that the problem is I used animation layer in generate the walk
animation. If I create animation in base animation layer, all work fine. The animation will not go crazy when
open in DAZ studio.
Here is a summary on how you can import Poser Walk Path animation into DAZ:
1. Startup Poser (both pro and non-pro are OK).
2. Delete the default doll character and load DAZ Michael 4 or Victoria 4
3. Create the walk path animation in Poser. IMPORTANT: You must apply the animation to BASE layer
4. Save the file as poser .PZ3 file.
5. Startup DAZ and import the .PZ3 file.
6. Create aniblock using the keyframe animation
7. The walk path animation aniblock can now apply to any characters in DAZ studio.
If there is other ways to create walk path animation in DAZ studio, please let me know, thanks.

Have you tried a simple animated pose file (.pz2)? Which figures are you using?
Just a very simple Andy animation:

I have try directly import the pz3 file, but the animation go crazy in DAZ studio.
Try saving an animation to the pose library as a multi-frame pose (pz2) and apply it to a figure in Studio......
