looging for a basic terrain generator

I tried

- Terragen, but the free version doesn't allow any kind of export

- TerreScuptor 2 and I have trouble applying a shader to the obj file exported

- Quad Spinner Gaea is promising but lack a simple export option.

- Sadly, I plan to cancel my annual subscription to Eon/Vue since I can't reasonably afford the yearly fee necessary to continue using the program ... I will not elaborate on this particular point, but it's to the least very unpleasant ...

I just need a simple program to use with Howie Farkes products

Could anybody point me to such a thing ?

Thanks

    Bryce

Has a bridge to send the terrains to DAZ studio but you may need to use different textures

Does it make sense to use bryce if i only need the uv mapped mesh to texture it in daz for iray?

@golem841 I use Quadspinner's Gaea. It does have many export options, so I am not sure what you are looking for when you say it does not have a simple export? I usually export a .obj file from Gaea and texture in DAZ studio with the multi layer terrain shader. I use masks exported from Gaea to distribute the layers.

Edit to add an example. Here is Gaea terrain in DAZ Studio. Exported as 2K*2k .obj and textured in DS.

I should probably spend more time learning to use Gaea.

I bought it because of the excellent work Quadspinner made for Vue.

Unfortunately I do not have enough time for all my hobbies...
