Smart Content Sort by fix?

Is there any fix for the fact that the smart content tab just refuses to be accurately sorted? I really like the smart content because I'm a visual person, but the sorting is completely broken, especially the ones I'd use most often: release date and order date.

i.e. if I sort by Release Date it shows:

Rocky Place (Released 2020-08-19)
Path Between the Cliffs (2020-03-29)
Olive Grove - Ancient Olive Trees (2020-03-29)
Fantasy Forest (2020-03-29)
Arbor Mortis (2020-07-29)

If I sort by Order Date, it shows

Sci-Fi Crew Outfit for Genesis 8 Female(s) (Bought 2020-11-06)
Ultimate Pose Master (2021-03-21)
dForce EXzela Long Hair (2020-06-17)
200 Plus Head and Face Morphs (2019-04-23)
iRadiance Crystal Sparkle Rich HDRI (2020-03-29)

If I buy something new, I'm excited to use it! But instead I have to manually search it through a massive catalogue. Combined with the fact that some products are still missing pictures from the March Madness, and I keep getting the placeholder for the read me error on a bunch of things until I refresh countless times, and a ton of recent items are in the lost and found for some reason, and  it's just such a drag.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? I really don't want to lose the functionality of the SmartContent tab. Currently using Daz 4.15.0.2 Pro, 64 bit, Windows 10 Home (10.0.19042). I primarily install through the Smart Content tab except for some utilities that require DIM. Not using Daz Central to install.

I work with Smart Content and the sort option Sort by Install Date: Recent First

This usually gives me the expected sort order.

Also sorting by Order Date gives me the expected result. My installation method is almost always using DIM.

I've just had to reimstall all my content (on a new PC), using DAZ Central; the only sorting option that works is alpabetical!

Like markusmatern my Smart Content sorting seems to work fine - I too use DIM. Looks like this might be a Daz Connect problem?

I finally got time today to back up my files and completely uninstall and reinstall Daz, and I'm still having the same issue. The sort by order date is correct in Daz Install Manager, but wrong in Smart Content. It's fine for installing, but when I go to actually use a product, I like to see what I've recently purchased. So frustrating.

As far as I know the issue is at the Daz website (or CDN) end, the sorting has been broken since the store migration.

Yea, that's my impression. I've tried two different computers, tested out Daz Central, and it's always sorted in the same wrong date for order in smart content. What a huge disappointment. I was willing to be patient but it's been 8 months now, you'd hope that there would have at least been a word about whether we could expect it to be fixed or acknowledgment that they know of the issue. It's hugely impacted my desire to create, and made my work flow a lot more frustrating.

I've just had to reinstall again and, three years later, it's still the same poblem!

In fact, sorting by Order Date only works as expect if you installed a product via DIM / Connect on the same day when you ordered (bought) it.

There are just 4 data fields of Date relating to a product, pls check (screenshot 1) to see how they work ~~

Yes, you always can find correct Order Date for sorting in DIM becasue the Order Date is always directly written in Manifest file (screenshot 2)

Again, if you didn't download and install a product on the same day when bought it, you would never have correct Order Date in cms database as well as sort by it correctly in Smart Content ~~
Besides, if you fully deleted the product with correct Order Date in Content Library, then reinstalled... you would still get wrong Order Date... The only way to get them back is to manually or batch modify the date_purchase in cms.

  • The store was sending the wrong information to DS - the package date instead of the order date. this has been fixed, and seems to be working correctly 9even on occasions when I don't install on the same day) - however, at least for me, older items do not seem to have updated; I am not sure if this is an issue on my system or a more generic issue, or if there is a way to force an update.

I used to do quite a few test cases... unfortunately, DIM doesn't write "real Order Date" into cms though it does get Order Date info. online...  Since there's no Order Date info. in IM package, so I ever thought if DIM writes Order Date to date_purchased, there should a another routine of SQL or whatever code it has to handle separately but obviouly there isn't... as I never get correct Order Date after installing IM package on another day or delete then resinstall...
