zBrush over smoothing

deleted userdeleted user Posts: 1,204

I'm not sure why it does this but it's ruining my work. Every time I GoZ a new moph and I dial it in it smooths my character one level each time.
It don't stop, it just keeps smoothing and smoothing and smoothing to the point where the teeth are showing. I know I'm doing something wrong. Just not sure what.

If you smooth in Zbrush (subdividie with the SMTH button set) then going back to the base resolution won't restore the status quo, which is of course then sent back to DS as part of the morph. Don't divide in ZBrush, or if you do make sure that SMTH is off. You'll probably find that the teeth and fingers are even more distorted.

It's in the Geometry pane, next to the Divide button.

Thank you. I never noticed that button and I never knew what it was good for.
