Created Group Not at 0,0,0

I use Groups a lot help move things around and hide things more easily. One problem that I am having, is that when I use Create Group with Parent Selected, it always adds offsets. The offsets appear in the newly created group, and then a reversal of the values is done to the contained elements.

For example, I just selected a piece of furnature that was at 0,0,0 and then did a create group with parent selected. The Group was created at 0.37, 1.15, -9.34, and the furnature piece was change to -0.37, -1.15, 9.34.

This looks like a bug.

Is it centring the group in the selected items?

I'm not sure how to check that, but I'll see if I can find a pattern. So far I have just been zeroing them out manually.

Try creating your group, then create a small cube (or a null). Select the group, then the cube/null. Open the Align pane, if it isn't, and set the X and Z axis options to align centre and the y axis to align bottoms - for me that places the cube with its base on the group locator, the group is centred on the bounding box of its creation members left/right and front/back, at the bottom of the bounding box.

before creating  new group in the scene, goto Selection>Clear selection. Make sure nothing is selected.
