Male 8.1 won't load?

I upgraded to the latest version of Daz Studio for mac and also bought the 8.1 male figure (through install Manager), but the figure loads as a group of boxes. Clearly something isn't finding the right files. Any thoughts?

    Bought? Genesis 8.1 Male is free, with the updated Genesis 8 Starter Essentials, so I'm not sure what you mean.

    Well I only found the male 8.1 as a guy in a wheelchair...or other related products when I searched for 8.1 in the store. Should I not have been charged for that?

    You should have been charged for Michael 8.1 if you want the figure and/or bundle, but he's not the base 8.1 figure. Which version if DS are you using? Have you updated the Genesis 8 starter essentials?

    Well problem solved: I re-downloaded the FIg 8 content and now the Michael for Fig 8.1 does load...albeit with red skin and a green neck.

    That is Michael 8.1 (or one of his bundles) which is a character for Genesis 8.1 Male. Genesis 8.1 male is part of Genesis 8 Starter Essentials, if you haven't updated that for a while you won't have the required base. Edit: the default resources have been updated with the Iray PBR Skin Shader used by the Daz 8.1 characters and some others, and there may well be other content updates if you haven't redownloaded for a while.

    Thanks. A bit confusing not to see anything that says 8.1 in the Install Manager "download" window. Maybe retitle "8" to "8.1" so people know?

    It contains both 8 and 8.1
