Accessing product 'how-to' information, esp Grafittiworx

And today's question is... How do I use the Grafittiworx product correctly?  I load the decal, parented, add the grafitti material, and nothing happens.  I've tried selecting the decal in the Surfaces tab, I've tried selecting the parented target.  Nada.  Okay, what am I missing here?  

Also, is there a way of getting better user instructions with some/any/all products?  Can one contact the product creator directly? In the Grafittiworx, for example, you get one single, solitary tip; about ensuring that a decal is parented.  Okay, but there is clearly more to it than that.

    Decals don't show up in the viewport. Have you tried rendering? Decals are not the most intuitive thing to use, so it will take some practice.

    Kindred Arts has several Iray Decal products. The early ones had User Guides that gave more than a one-line hint, but unfortunately have been discontinued. However you can still access the ReadMe's from the documentation center. Search for "decal" or "decal kit" and you will find several ReadMe's with links to the original User Guides. I don't know why he doesn't include them anymore, Iray decals can be pretty tricky to use.
