    OK, here is my entry for the month of September, and my first ever in this thread! Not sure about size limits as I have not been able to find info on that.

    In some Faerie legends the Fae make their own wings, usually from what they can find that will suffice. Each Faerie has a plant or animal species that he or she watches over and will make wings from whatever is under their watch.

    Bran'Shya is the Prickly Pear Faerie. She always seems to wait too long to make here wings, and ends up with nothing but Prickly Pear branches for wings. Because of this she can just barely fly, but that is OK with her as she is afraid of heights. She is also unapproachable due to the long sharp thorns of her wings.

    Prickly Pear, huh?  Well, plenty of orange.   Nice image!

    All that white definitely contrasts nicely with that almost charcoal grey skin.

      And those eyes!

    Title: H4L-0-W33N

    Rendered with Iray, I had the concept early on in the month but it took a long time to get the materials right, and iray renders are slow on my computer. I didn't like the bloom around the lightsaber but wasn't about to re-render just to tone it down. I affectionately nicknamed them PM-KN, H4L-0-W33N, and V4-DR.

    Fitting for Halloween... A little out of my comfort zone (I hate spiders) but... a render that even Vincent Price is sure to love....

    "The Black Widow"

    Her kiss is 15 times as poisonous as that of the rattlesnake... Immediately after the consumation of her marriage, to the smaller and weaker male of the species... She KILLS and eats him!!!!  muhhh aa haaahh haaaaaaaaaaaaaa

    Hear Vincent describe this wondrous creature in this Alice Cooper youtube video "The Black Widow"...

    Great renders everyone!

    I don't like spiders too much either, Llola Lane, but excellent image!

    I don't know yet what I will do for black, too many ideas.

    I thought of that Bigh... that's why I included the video link.. He's in a league all his own as far as ole time actors go... He's on my top list of favorites.

    You still have time xmasrose... I still have my photograph to do for my monthly photography challenge... I have an idea for that.. but so glad you like my black widow... I WON"T be looking for one to photograph though.. LOL

    Wonderful images again this month.

     

    Vincent Price is the best.  His voice at the end of Thriller still sends chills down my spine.
