Want to post some new 3D art, but want to make sure it's NOT too big

Hi Gang:

I used to be able to post on another well known site, but recently found out my work messed up some policies of theirs, so I am trying to MAKE SURE I do NOT do the same thing here.  I am aware No violence, No nudity, No Hate which is great and I am all for that, so I REALLY making sure my art is none of the above, what I do need to know is, what size are the pixels allowed to be in our images.  Next are we limited to a ONE TIME only limit of 1 or 5 etc.  Anyway anyhelp that posting artists can give me on this site would be greatly appreciated. Cheers and have a wonderful evening

I hope someone has the answer for you. I don't know where that would be documented. I know I have posted images that are 2000 by 2600. When you post them, you are supposed to specify a smaller width and height for display (that is part of the Image Properties dialog). I usually use 800 as the larger of the two dimensions.

Go ahead and post. If you make a mistake, someone will help you correct it. You won't get in big trouble, as long as you follow the guidelines that you already are aware of for content.

Before the Big Change, there was a file size limit of 10MB (although I found that uploads failed if the file was over 8MB). There may still be a limit, but if so, it's much less restrictive, as I no longer have to compress my renders before I post them. My renders are mostly 4800px on the long edge, and I haven't had a problem with uploading any yet. If you're talking about posting images on the forums, rather than in the galleries, you just have to set image width to 800px or lower. You can post as many images as you want, but the gallery software only allows you to work on one at a time. You can add multiple images to a single upload, but I'm not entirely clear on what the purpose of that is. The only thing I've used it for up to this point is to include different versions of the same render, which may or may not be the intended purpose.

I think that is one of the intended purposes. I think it's to keep people from posting several versions of the same image with minor tweaks in quick succession and bloating the gallery. Personally, I have used it to upload images of the same subject/setting in different poses, like a photo shoot series.

I believe that if you do that, only the first image is posted to the main gallery, if that matters to you.
