Can I use Daz renders to make 2D portraits for characters, enemies, etc. in RPG Maker?
Hi guys, I have a fairly specific question I was hoping somebody might be able to help clear up for me, if possible.
If I was to make a game in RPG Maker (something like the really early Final Fantasy games for example), could I use Daz to make 2D character portraits, enemies, cutscenes, and backgrounds for the game without having the Interactive Licences? The animated sprites, overworld, world map, and special effects (like sword slashes, or magical attacks) however, would all be made using RPG Maker assets.
My biggest source of confusion is the animated effects and the way they "interact" with the 2D portraits - like sword slashes, magical effects, and the way a portrait "flashes" to indicate it's taken damage. I could be completely misunderstanding the terminology of the "Interactive Licenes" here, so apologies if I am (I'm a bit of a newb to this whole thing).
Any help would be greatly appreaciated. Also, sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I saw a couple of other questions about Interative Licenes get moved to this section, so I assumed this was the place to ask.

As long as you use only 2D renders and animations and not the 3D mesh itself in your game engine you don't need an interactive license.

I'm guessing that if I was to implement like an inventory system with 2D renders for items, or have the character's 2D portrait change depending on the equipment or armour they had, that would be fine too? Again, assuming I don't have the interactive licences?
OK, great! I wouldn't know the first thing about embedding a 3D mesh into the game anyway, so I doubt that'll be a problem.
