does it have wind dynamics for it's dynamic hair? cloth?
what about particles?
does it have the linear thing? will my spaceships start bouncing?
thanks :)
i'd like to make a real effort to do a show reel.

this is all i found so far
Non-Linear Animation Track Groups - Using Carrara for creating animations? This merge track tool will provide an improved interface to create groups of tracks then collapse or expand the tracks in those groups.
Ocean Primitive - Simulating the surface of the ocean, this feature can be used to create both still and animated oceans. You will be able to control the waves, plus the speed and direction of the wind.
the storyboard is a whole nother topic, don't know where to start with it?
looks like dynamic cloth is called 'soft body dynamics'
not seeing anything on wind and hair so far
Yes, soft body physics is the closest to Poser dynamic cloth.
you should also check out Carrarators.

i watched the pretty princess clip, the hair was static. made me worry.
these were kewl. :)

thanks!! :)
i been sidetracked a little with the physics stuff. fascinating to watch
If you like Physics and particles, then these videos by Age of Armour should inspire you:

the motion path and banking thing sounds helpful for dragon flights :)
Chapter 18: Animation Techniques
Always loved those Age of Armour animations EP!
When it comes to Physics and Particles, I always think of DimensionTheory's beautiful vids:

and so many others :)
does the marble have to spin down the path? was just thinking, parenting dragon to it, i want the dragon to bank but don't want it to do stomachsaults.
still don't know enough to have an animation strategy.
you can use a track modifier not tracking rotations only transforms or also convert the physics to keyframe and edit those
physics is fun btw

Misty, there are also motion paths that can be used. I usually use the path and if I have a rough spot that I can't fix, I convert back to keyframes to edit the movement.
I did this video years ago as an experiment with motion paths (no audio):

Then there's the automation that is possible using Inverse Kinematics, target helper objects and IK tracking. The sprocket with the pedals has a rotation behavior assigned to it, and the feet are set to track the target helpers parented to the pedals. The hands are set to track targets parented to the handle bars. I did add some hand animation to the torso and head so that they didn't lurch from side to side and looked more fluid.

the promo for Dynamic Skye Hair looks amazingly real. woww!!
