dforce hair still grainy at 99% render quality
I get this issue mostly with those relatively new kinds of hair that aren't visible in iray preview. If rendered close enough, as portrait, it looks more or less ok.
But at full body images it still has a bit of grainy noise - even at almost 100% converge, same 1000px width, same lights, etc. Nothing changed other than height and perspective.
I tried to play with post denoiser, and in most cases it works, but not with dforce hair. For some reason when it hits whatever number iterations I specify, nothing really happens, while in most renders there's drastic difference. Current settings:
Any hints on what I can try to improve?

100% convergence or 100% of the default 95% convergence? I wouldn't advise doing the former.
The problem with the full length image is that the hair isa verys mall part of it, so the rest of the image can be converged and so satisfy the ending condition while the hair, which is slower, is still noisy. One fix is to increase the quality slider or the desired ratio, another is to actiate the Spot Render tool, with no background, set it to render to a new Window in the Tool Settings pane, and drag out an area to just enclose the hair - since the hair will then account for a substantial part of the image it should render to covnergence, at least mostly, and then you can save the result as PNG or Tiff and drop it on top of the main render.
It's 100% of 99%, as listed in settings above. I tried to set it to 100% and waiting full time, it took a few more minutes, but there wasn't any significant difference.
Thanks for the idea with Spot Render, will try that!
