Your guys recommended Sub-Division levels?

A few questions:

What level of Render Sub-Division do you like to use? One that gives a nice look but not overly taxing on processing?

Should Sub-Divion level always be 0 no matter what the Render Sub Div is?

At what Sub Division level do you think starts to give diminishing returns and really not worth it?

Depends how close to the camera the figure is, and how much VRAM I want to use up.

If it's a single character headshot with no environment, maybe 4 SubD. If it's a scene with three characters and they're all ten feet away, at most 1 SubD.

You can set Viewport SubD to whatever you want. It's the only way to view HD details without doing a full render.

No need to go above 3 unless you have an HD morph that requires higher, even then I would never go above 4.

Full body scene : subd level 1

Close up head shot portraits with HD subd level 3-4 (turn off denoiser, otherwise you'll lose the details)
