Took a long hiatus from DAZ. But I'm back to work on a new project.

Looks good.... I like the cartoon rendering features, but I've never been fully happy with them.
Also I tend to use photographs for backdrops a lot, rather than 3D objects, and then they don't fit with the cartoony characters.
But this looks quite nice.
I like the subtle tone change back by the stairs. You can see them, even though the surroundings are all dark. Nice touch!

I did a couple of quick side by side renderings today with some Flash scenes. Used the same characters, dialog, settings, etc. Still tweaking the animation workflow to where I want it to be.

The nice thing about using flat colors in CGI is that I don't have to deal with any limitations, as you can see with this example. I can remove and animate an arm or a leg or a cape or a car or an entire body for a brief inbetween. Using just flats give the art a nifty look, but it's also hugely functional for me. :)
