What is the Difference Between N.G.S. Anagenessis 2 - Revolution & N.G.S. Anagenessis for Genesis 3?

What is the Difference Between N.G.S. Anagenessis 2 - Revolution & N.G.S. Anagenessis for Genesis 3? I'm a bit confused by the descriptions.  Is one a a superior version of the other? I think I saw somewhere that you can even use this on gen8 figures as well. All I understand so far is that these products will help make the skins look more (Photo) realistic. Can anyone please elaborate in laymen please. I'm considering getting one of these in the future.

I only own Anagenessis 2 so I'm not 100% sure but AFAIK:

Anagenessis 2 is the updated version of the original Anagenessis. It's more versatile as it works on several generations and even non-Genesis figures.

Anagenessis 2 also uses only diffuse maps, getting rid of SSS/bump/specular and other maps. This means it's easier on your system. I don't think this applies to the original Anagenessis.

Anagenessis 2 can be used on G8. In my experience the results vary from spectacular to barely see the difference.

The script doesn't run on G8.1 but there are simple work-arounds. For example, apply original skin to G8, run the script, save result as material preset, then apply material preset to G8.1

At the time they were released they helped, but the way skin shaders are setup for current figures is usually far superior than the results you will get with either product now IMO

When you say current figures are you referring to genesis 8 and 8.1? Or all Genesis models and creatures such as Daz dragon?

Mostly genesis 8 and especially 8.1 with the new PBR shaders
