Anatomy of a shot

So I don't usually like to share too much WIP stuff online -- I prefer for the finished thing to just exist.
But I figure the Carrara board here is small enough group and I always like the vibe here, so I thought I'd share the process of a shot I'm working on since it's a pretty simple shot overall.
I'll update the original post here as I go with images, etc, and then I'll post the final shot in a private Youtube video.
So, to begin, this particular animation moves through five different styles of animation, culminating in the CGI version.
Here are a few shots of the progression:
UPDATE: Shot complete.

Here I bring a little depth to the wounds.
Thanks for posting. I love the different styles. Well done.
Love the render type, very clean yet noir-ish cartoon type. Fun to watch, thanks for sharing!
That's some good stuff BC Rice.
Posed and ready for animation. Background shaders also adjusted.
Can't wait to see the animation!
Updated the post. Finished the shot. I might tweak it a little prior to final edits, but it's pretty much good to go.
