Saving Aniblock for Just Legs?

Hi,

I found a great bvh file for crouching with a leg bounce at the bottom - I don't want the upper body part however. I selected all nodes above the hip and did "clear animation" - now the genesis will crouch down with the upper body in T-Pose. Great! or so I thought.

I've created an aniblock of this. However, annoyingly even though the upper body is not animated, when I apply the aniblock to a new character they move their hands up to the T-Pose. I thought the T-Pose was a default start position - it has not moved in any way, so why is it recorded as such in the aniblock? What I am looking for is a body part animation save, I want to apply separate animation to the torso and also make that it's own aniblock. I can then have characters couching while on the phone, or crouching while scratching their head etc.

If it insists on saving all the animation data for the entire character, is there a way to go into the aniblock and just set it for *leave it alone above the hips*?

After some research I found a guy who posted an "anti-aniblock" that fixed the John Wayne Walk of Genesis-2 when used with Victoria 4 aniblocks. It works amazingly well, you just put his special aniblock as a sub block and it fixes the animation. I guess I need some way of making an upper body aniblock that just tells the Animate program to leave it alone. Been here for hours any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

You have to put this aniblock into additional track and then configure that track to not influence upper body and hands. Double-click on the track label to summon the track configuration dialog.

Thanks for sharing this information. I've always wondered if this were possible--now I know. Thanks.
