The second movie in the series goes into production :) This is the very first frame that came from the renderer.

    Thanks.

This movie will have a different structure from my previous works - it will consist of relatively long (~40 sec) shots, so the main challenge was to create the scene that will work for that. This have to be the raining evening, so the lighting is the mixture of dying sunlight from behind the clouds and artificial street lights (you cannot see it on this frame maybe but there are actually dozens of lights: street lamps, windows, many point-sized lights, they will become visible when camera will move :) ). Having many lights in scene usually makes it noisy when rendered with physical-based renderer like Octane so special measures have to be taken to minimize the noise while keep the rendering time in limits. Other than that, this particular part of the shot is simple - just one character, in focus, with very small FStop so other scene is blurred. I'll shift the colors and add some rain later in the postwork, when I'll have all shots in this scene done. Other frames of this shot will have many background characters and that's a challenge of its own :)
