Hi all! I am trying to install an older version of Daz to Blender (2.2.2) on my Mac. However, I'm having trouble manually installing the new plugin. Everytime I try to replace it it reverts back to the current update (2.4.0). Has anyone attempted to do this before? Thanks so much for all the help!

Hi!
Yes. I posted the bellow a few months back and have done it several times. Personally the new bridge is better at bringing over materials and some other fixes but I often find that the older versions have less bugs. Good luck!
Hi all!
Sam from the dev team was nice enough to walk me through how to re-install older versions of the DazToBlender bridge. This worked great for me to revert to a previous version and avoid some of the bugs I was excpereincing with 2.3.
Here are the steps written out:
Manual Re-Install of DazToBlender Older Versions
Download older version of DazToBlender from: github.com/daz3d/DazToBlender/releases
SCROLL DOWN> NEXT> Locate the previous version you wish to install. Download “Source Code” Zip file.
BLENDER SIDE MANUAL INSTALL
UNZIP Source Code folder INSIDE FOLDER> Blender> appdata_common> Blender Foundation> Blender> BLENDER_VERSION> scripts> addons> DTB
COPY DTB FOLDER
NAVIGATE/GO TO:
%appdata% in windows browser
AppData> Roaming> BlenderFoundation> Blender> select the version of Blender you are using.
“version”> scripts> addons> DTB
DELETE existing DTB folder and paste in DTB folder from the downloaded “Source Code” folder.
BLENDER> ADDONS> check to see if it is available to install, trouble shoot by “Remove” and then repaste the DTB into the above mentioned folder.
DAZ SIDE FRESH INSTALL (easier than replacing the script)
GO BACK TO : “Source Code” folder.
Daz Studio> appdir_common> scripts> support> DAZ> Select all .dsa files (there will be 3 or 4 depending on version)
GO TO WHERE YOU KEEP YOUR DAZ LIBRARY “My DAZ 3D Library” > Scripts> Paste in ,dsa files, accept “Replace the files in the destination”
OPEN DAZ STUDIO > Content Library> My DAZ 3D Library> Scripts> Daz To Blender> Right Click> Create Custom Action> Rename as desired (I added the version #)> Accept> OK> it will now appear under scripts tab at top of the window.
Hope this is helpful. :)
