Preset or script to unparent and delete prop?

Anyone know if this is possible? I have a figure with a morph and materials preset that I also add a wearable to as a parented prop. But then when other properties presets are applied, that parented prop is not longer needed. Is there a way to actually unparent and delete that prop with just the click of a button? I know I could just hide it and make a materials preset, but then I may need another preset to UNhide it again.

What is the prop doing that can't be done without?

I'm not sure I understand the question, so let me give more detail.

The figure I've made is an arcade video game. It can be morphed into different shapes, and for one preset extra buttons are required on the console. So I made those buttons into a prop, parented them to the game figure, and saved that as a wearable preset in DS4.7.

So with one click, the extra buttons can be added. To make them go away, however, requires one to open the hierarchy, unparent them, and delete them. I'm simply looking for a shortcut, if one exists.

As a workaround, I've created property/material presets to simply hide the prop. That works fine if that's all I can do, but I was just curious about the other.

    Thanks.
