Here we go again...need re-install help

By 4mo old computer decided it didn't want to computer anymore so I had to have windows re-installed on it. Which means I lost Daz and every other program I've downloaded. How do I get Daz to recognize my content? There is only a tiny fraction of my actual library that is available when I open Daz. I also can't see to find where my saved scenes and characters are.

You just need to connect that content library to DS via Content Directory Manager

I like how you used the word "just." That makes me think it's simple :P How do I do that?

No problem. Within Daz Studio go to Edit>Preferences>Content tab>Contact Directory Manager. Highlight the "Daz Studio Formats" and on the left hand side of that screen select "New" then point it to your content folder

Thank you so much and I feel like I'm getting there. The content sorta shows up now but the folders are empty. Did I miss a button somewhere? I did check and made sure that the folders do actually have the content in them and they do.

My other major heart attack was that I wasn't able to find my "My Library" folder which contains all my custom characters, scene work, various props I've altered and saved. Basically EVERYTHING I've done and am working on. But I was able to find it in OneDrive so WHEW!!!

The attached picture shows 2 of my main characters. On the left, she is just as I left her right down the freckles. On the right, he is actually Sanjay based and you can see it applied the skin maps correctly (the black arm thing is because of custom tattoos I'd applied. I know how to fix that, no biggie) and it included his ear ring but not his beard or saved body morphs. I'm guessing that stuff will come back once I find a way for Daz to recognize my folder content and not just the folders?

You need to expand the entries in the Content Directory Manager image so that we can see the folder names.

Was it dForce (or Daz Studio Strand) hair or regular modelled hair?

I don't think it was dForce no. If I recall, it was the Beard Boss product.

Attached is what it looks like when I open the directory manager. I didn't change anything, just opened the drop downs. I tried selecting everything under New and accept>apply>accept but the folders are still empty.

The 2nd picture is just showing that there are files in the folders I'm pointing it at (or at least I think I'm pointing it at)

I wonder if this is where I'm going wrong? My stuff didn't use to be in "Other"

You have no base directories specified under "DAZ Studio Formats"

Okay so I went back and looked again and I actually DID have directories there. I know that's not true in the picture but I think I might have monkied with something. It was the wrong one though. So i selected Edit and gave it the right directory and BOOM! Now I just have to get my smart content to reflect my library content.
