Is is possible to apply a decal on top of an existing model?

I am converting a piece of construction equipment into a wacky custom tank.

I do not want to change the texture, but I do want to put a team emblem on the tank.

Is that possible?

If so, how do I do it?

    In DAZ Studio? Probably the easiest way would be using the Layered Image Editor: http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/artzone/pub/software/lie/start

    Server not found

    Firefox can't find the server at documentation.daz3d.com.

    Check the address for typing errors such as ww.example.com instead of www.example.com
    If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
    If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

    Is there somewhere else I can find the instructions?

    If the decal is (for example), a logo, you can add it to the Diffuse Strength channel in Daz Studio. You won't see anything in the viewport, but it will appear in the render.

    The link you gave was okay, but the actual links to the information on the page are all dead.

    Since I could not access the information, I had to use a trick instead. I was lucky the surfaces I was putting the logo on were all flat, so I applied a transparent texture to a cube and duplicated it, then positioned the cubes and parented them to the object.

    I would have used the layered image editor, but as noted already, the information was not accessable.

    {{EDIT: The links lower on the page under "User Documentation" did work for me. I am looking at them now.

    It was the three main links that were all dead links.}}
