V4 --> G2F shoe ruckus

I am trying to follow this
when I first import the shoes it sort of lines up(pic 1)
then when I auto fit V4-footwear the shoes move to the middle(pic 2)
and I cannot follow the tutorial above, any suggestions?

Which shoes are they? Are you sure they were made for V4?

The following works for me

pose genesis
convert shoes to weightmapping
transfer utility Genesis Source Shoes as target (no fitto)
Select Genesis than Ctrl Select shoes
Joint editor>edit>transfer rigging figure space
Select only the shoes
right click in viewport
memorise figure rigging

Looks like you're not unfitting them after you run the transfer utility? You need to do that before the repositioning/ transfer rigging step.

The pic 2 happens before all that, It makes no difference if I cancel out of the auto fit or auto fit, the shoes always move to that position.

So I can not get past step 3 of the tutorial
