it seems awfully difficult to work with g2m.
the autofit dialog didn't open - i put a g2f item on him.
couldn't find the 'fit to' parameter.

now that i have him posed, how do i save just the pose?

can i save his walk cycle and head movements as separate presets to mix and match later?

searched the c7 manual, it doesn't say

thanks. :)

Fit to is in the general tab on (top right in the assembly room after you've selected the character or clothing instance, about halfway down the tab). For Genesis2, if something isn't fitting right it's sometimes best to use the drop down to fit to nothing and then change it to fit to the character again.

You can save a pose as an NLA clip in the clips tab. Fenric also has a plugin for exporting poser poses in pz2 format.

You save any animation as an NLA clip and even separate it out by the various bones (so for example you could save the full walking motion, or just the hips downward, or both, and that can be useful if you need to have someone walking but you want to free up his top half to wave as someone passing by, as an example. SciFiFunk has a cool tutorial on how to do this on youtube.

It saves the settings in that panel. Say you find nice settings for soft body, but you want to keep experimenting. Save the component, change what you want and if not happy, load the previously saved settings. Very handy:)
