drachenlords - and another great entry (I love your seaspray and waves especially). You're making this a very stiff competition for the rest of us!

  • Thanks MelanieL, but I don't think so. There are so many fantastic Brycers here, there are sure to be much better pictures than this one.

mermaid : cool idea, beautiful scene, great atmosphere.

My first entry : ancient Egypt. Free models, the temple is from Gadu, the pyramid from Thandaluz, Bryce vegetation (I think)

mermaid and adbc - very nice entries, both of you.

  • Mermaid and adbc:

Really great atmosphere in both pictures.

Horo, drachenlords : thank you very much.

Mermaid, Nice work. The part of the arch standing on one leg looks a bit odd to me, but I assume the remainder is hidden in the sand.

    adbc, Good looking Egyptian scene.

  • Mermaid and adbc, both Entries are beautiful and well done... nice atmosphere.

mermaid, adbc - both nice entries on the theme, nice atmosphere and interestingly different colour choices.

Thanks Adbc,  your entry is great, too

Thanks Horo,  Drachenlords and Yellow Pen

Hansmar  thanks, well it's an ancient ruin, no one know what happened there wink

To All - time is running out and there are so few entries for this challenge.

mermaid: A very moody scene and atmosphere.

adbc: There's beauty even in decay. I love the lighting.

@ All: DISCLAIMER: Following image is NOT intended as an entry for this contest! It is a re-re-re-post and still online in my Renderosity Gallery... but it fits well into here, just for the fun.

I had created it long ago (in February 2012) to depict the History of Bryce itself. --- As some might notice (depending on the then lower render sizes), there was always an obligatory use of Shiny Spheres™. Typically appearing as a Sphere over Water/Chessboard, also in those "Ancient Bryce Times".

PS: That wooden character at the left is the Poser3/4 mannequin (which I had exported from Poser and sorta rigged to pose it directly in Bryce)... though "Woody" is another and veeeeeery long story.   ;)

    Bryce History

    Keep on brycing! :)

  • drachenlords - as always, your attention to details is exceptional. I also like that there is a story behind each image. All well staged and the poses are excellent, I especially like the Cyclops!

BlackSnowSky - very dramatic scene and very well staged. I also very much like the atmospheric effects.

mermaid010 - the desolate setting really gives the structures an agent feel. Really like the Long shadows.

adbc - very much like the atmosphere of this scene. It almost gives it a science fiction feel. Sand texture.

Here's my first entry: “The Queens Chamber".

Pharaohs Chamber model (With the ceiling removed) by JackTomlinson.

Chamber, G3F, outfit, and plants from DAZ3D.

The G3F’s Image textures were replaced with Bryce procedurals except for the eyes, eyebrows and lips.

Primary lighting from the sun, fill lighting from three dome lights (center, left and right). Rendered at 32RPP, True Ambience enable. About 3 1/2 hours to render.

Thanks in advance for taking a look.
