Maya back to Daz not exporting?
Hello! I hope somebody can help me out. I know nothing of Maya, I just signed up for Animation Mentor's Maya Basics course that starts in like two weeks and last night I got my educational license key for Maya so I figured why not poke around and see how it works. First, I've got to say right off the bat the IK rig is amazing, I did a walk cycle in five minutes that looked great (for a five minute test) that I never could have gotten to look a quarter that good in Daz (please Daz fix the rig for Daz 5!). So I'm stoked to learn Maya. But I followed the instructions in the video about Daz to Maya back to Daz and looked at some of the threads here as well and I can't seem to get it to work. I can get the model in just fine, I do the rerig thing (not sure if it does anything as the rig looks the same as when the character is brought in) but I animate her doing something and then I click export animations to daz, set up the filename and where it goes and click the button but all it does is starts to undo the last action I did. I keep clicking the export button and it just undoes everything and I'm back to square one and not a single file is saved. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is the plug-in not working as a whole now?
I have the latest version of Maya and I enabled that Python 3 thing that I saw was needed.
Also, looking at the course I'm taking, I don't see anything regarding lighting and rendering. If I can't bring animations back into Daz, does anyone have any favorite tutorials on lighting and rendering in Maya? Thank you for any and all help!
