I was going to post this image here the same day Dan posted his entry “Lone Survivor”, so I thought it’s best to post it after the results. They are similar yet different. I used a source file from the Islands 2 product and an Hdri from Exotic Hdris for Fantasy Skies (available at bryce-tutorials)

The terrain is from HRT-2 with my material. The clouds are a cube with a cloud material, the sun is from the Space Construction Kit, the frame was self made and given a material from 50 Metals The Treppenhalle Set. The commode was self made. Background and ambient light by an HDRI, the key light by the sun (rendered with Depth of Field).

mermaid : beautiful island scene, love the sky.

Horo : A terrain in a box is an original idea, beautifully done and great modeling.

Horo - wow a fantastic idea and render, I love the setup and the glass is awesome, I always have a problem getting a clear glass.

Adbc - superb sci-fi scene, thanks for the comment.

adbc - thank you. Again great terrain work - excellent sci-fi scene.

mermaid - thank you. Just the frame but no glass - but since there are no beasts in the box, who cares?

mermaid, excellent mount/hill landscape.  I've tried doing a similar look and have failed every time.  Kudos!

Horo, I love the concept of a landscape in a terrarium...clouds and all.  Well done.

adbc, your space scene looks like it came right out of a movie.  Great job on this.

    Mermaid:
A beautiful and very moody island scene.

    Horo:
A great full scaled "terrarium". Great modeling and clouds.
PS: I didn't notice that there is no glass!

    adbc:
    - A nice SciFi scene. Great mats and lighting.
    - Cool "Bryce trees" image. A great idea and beautiful coloring.

hubert - thank you. The problem with glass is that I am not very good at cleaning it laugh

The object Tree was generated in Structure Synth and reduced in MeshLab. Three instances are added to the master. The material used is just white Diffuse. The objects are within a stretched sphere without Cast Shadows and some white Diffuse. Light and colour by the "Rainbow3" HDRI, no other light sources.
