Target geometry has different number of verticies question.

Hya Poser 2014

I am trying to make a morph target from an exported obj and load it back onto the original figure.

Steps:

From Poser I export my figure as an object.
do absolutely nothing to do it,
then reload it via
"Load morph target' under the properties tab while I have the hip of the figure selected.

And I get "Target geometry has different number of verticies" error.

If however I load back the obj file and then load the changed obj (a few polys pulled around) as a morph target
I dont have any trouble and it loads correctly.

Any hints very appreciated ;)

Likely an export problem. You should use these .obj export settings for a morph target...

    Uncheck Weld Body Part Seams
    Check As Morph Target
Check Include Body Part Names in Polygon Groups
Check Use Exact Internal Names Except Spaces
    Uncheck everything else

Also, since you have Poser Pro, You can use Figure>Load Full Body Morph if you are morphing the whole figure, instead of loading the morph target for all of the individual actors...

PS make sure you zero the figure before exporting...
