New system and moved from updated Studio to 4.16 - any way to reuse the old smart content

So, I have my old installation of both Studio (prior to .16, don't remember if 14. or .15) and Win10. Now I upgraded some PC hardware and did a fresh installation on a second drive of both Win10 and Studio to 4.16. While it was no problem to just import the Content Library (and hoping it would rebuild my Smart Content) I saw that I have to download the Smart Content again, the icons are greyed out and they require downloads / installs.

Apart from reinstalling them all by hand...is there a way to import all the Smart Content files with just a few clicks? Also I am afraid that installing them over already "installed" (they are already in the content folder) will lead to the... duplicate files found error etc.

edit: I think I found the solution, just point Studio to the old content path.

The CMS database needs to be repopulated. It normally goes on the main drive with the operating system in the Users/yourusername/AppData/Roaming/DAZ 3D folder. I assume that you have a new OS drive from the way you describe it. Some users copy the entire cms folder structure and be done with it, assuming they still have access to it after a drive replacement.

Otherwise, you need to re-import the metadata on the new installation. All the installed content had metadata installed with it. You should export your own User Data to preserve any changes you made, or custom categories you created. On the old installation, go to Content DB Maintenance and check Export User Data, then Accept. This will save one or more UserData_nn.dsx files to the Runtime/Support folder with. Copy them to the same location in the new installation (if the library is in a different location), and now run Content DB Maintenance from the new installation of Studio and check Re-import Metadata. Select all products, and don't forget to include the User Data. Accept and wait (im)patiently for it to complete.
