Question about using M4 clothing for Genesis Model

Hi all,

I'm new to 3D rendering and recently got my hands on Daz Studio. I managed to make some initial character renders, and I'm looking on getting some extra clothing.

What I'm finding is that there are more clothing for the M4 model than the Genesis model. So, I'm wondering how compatible are the M4 clothing for the Genesis model? In general, can most M4 clothing be imported for the Genesis model?

Specifically I'm looking at http://www.daz3d.com/shop/basicwear-for-m4/, but it's only for M4. So, I'm just wondering if that pack could be imported for the Genesis model?

    Basicwear should import/convert pretty well, because it's modeled pretty close to the body and doesn't have extra movement "handles" to deal with. You might also want to look at this:

    You'll get a lot of useful items for a good price.

    The short answer is that all M4 clothing can be used on Genesis, and will AutoFit to Genesis--and you don't need to buy anything extra in order to get this to work. The somewhat more complicated answer is that results vary in terms of how well this works. I haven't AutoFitted much M4 clothing myself, but my limited experience is that AutoFit usually does a very good job. I've heard that shoes can be a problem. Also, if your clothing item has morphs, you may not be able to use the morphs if you AutoFit to Genesis (DAZ Studio 4.5 fixes this).

    What I was looking for specifically are speedo's, which is why I was looking at that package. Thank you very much for all your input.
